Samsung will be making them available for pre-order starting June 13

By now you’re probably well aware that Samsung is planning to officially unveil its lineup of AMOLED screen tablets during the Galaxy Premiere event 2014 in New York, scheduled for June 12.

Specifications, press images and real-life pictures have all been leaked online in anticipation of the big event, so we pretty much know everything there is to know about the new products.

However, so far we haven't gotten any indications on when the AMOLED slates will become available for pick-up.

But the unstoppable @evleaks races to answer that question, by posting a leaked image coming from an unnamed US retailer which reveals the slates are headed for mass launch on June 27, while pre-orders are scheduled to begin on June 13. And hear this, early adopters will be awarded a free case, too.

“Beginning Friday, 6/13/14 (blurred name) will be one of a few select retailers authorized to presell the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S Tablets. These tablets are scheduled for the in-line Tablet Planogram (POG) placement in Week 28 (7/06/14) for all stores. Bonus offer of FREE Bronze Case with purchase of Samsung Tab S, Dates (6/13 – 7/05).”

The free case is a pretty good reason for tablet lovers to jump on with Samsung for a nifty Galaxy Tab S.

The leaked image doesn't bring forth any info about how much the slates will be priced in the US, but this info should be made available soon enough.

Based on recent information, we already know the Galaxy Tab S family will be launched in LTE and Wi-Fi variants. Both models will arrive on the market with a Super AMOLED display boasting a capable of resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.

Samsung is keeping business in-house, processor-wise, and is equipping the new products with an Exynos 5 Octa 5420 processor. The slates benefit from two cameras (8MP on the back and 2MP in front) and will arrive with a feature that can already be found in Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone, in the form of fingerprint reading sensor.

Not so long ago, we discovered the Galaxy Tab 8.4 is only 6.5 mm thin, which means we’re in for a bunch of very thin and sleek devices. That’s another reason why we can expect the tablets to be priced a little bit higher than Samsung’s current high-end tablets, the Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO lineup.

The remaining question is whether customers will be willing to pay extra to get that beautiful AMOLED display.
