In three weeks Samsung will host its Galaxy Premiere Event in New York, during which we expect to see the Galaxy Tab S family of AMOLED tablets be unveiled.

The tablets come with impressive specifications and will certainly be marketed as premium devices. And for those of you wondering how much these babies will end up costing, we bring you word the European prices have already surfaced.

According to information dug up by the folks over at TabTech, the Wi-Fi only version of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 probably with 16GB of internal storage will sell at the price of €449 / $449, which is just €50 / $50 extra when compared to Samsung’s Galaxy TabPRO 8.4.

The LTE version of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will probably sell for €559 / $559 with €60 / $60 more than the LTE-enabled Galaxy TabPRO 8.4.

As for the larger brother, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, the Wi-Fi only model with 16GB of internal storage will sell for €559 / $559, while the LTE model will set you back with €679 / $679. For reference, compare this to the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 with Wi-Fi which sells for €449 / $449 and its LTE variant that is up for grabs for €559 / $559.

The Galaxy Tab S lineup is expected to arrive with a host of innovative features. For example, the slates will come equipped with a fingerprint sensor (like the Galaxy S5) which will be located in the home button.

The latest information also revealed the slates will take advantage of Samsung’s new book cover, but what that means exactly isn't really known yet.

Fingerprint Unlock will work in concert with the Multi User login feat, which will enable owners to sign into their respective account (there can be more onboard) by virtue of swiping the finger on the home button form the lock screen.

The specs of the tablets have already appeared online so we know the Galaxy Tab S tablets will draw power from an Octa-Core Exynos 5 (5420) SoC with ARM’s big.LITTLE technology (four 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores) fitted with 6-core ARM Mali-T628 GPU with clock speed of 533MHz.
