Wireless carrier Vodafone is among those services providers set to bring the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet PC to the market in various countries on the European continent, and some info on the price tag the operator put in place for the new slate in Spain has just emerged.

It appears that Vodafone would plan on making the Galaxy Tab available for purchase for Spanish users with a price tag of €199 attached to it, upon the signing of an 18-month contract agreement.

For what it's worth, it appears that European users would have the chance to get the new tablet PC at lower price tags than US enthusiasts who, according to the latest rumors around the Internet, would have to get $399 out of their pockets to buy the slate, with a 2-year contract and mail-in rebate.

No specific info was unveiled on the availability of Samsung Galaxy Tab at Vodafone Spain, but the carrier already offers users the possibility to register for updates on its website, stating that it plans on putting the slate on sale in a matter of weeks.

In case there are some still unfamiliar with what Galaxy Tab is all about, we should note that this is the first tablet PC that Samsung pushed to the market with Google's Android operating system on board.

Powered by the latest flavor of the OS, Android 2.2 Froyo, the tablet PC sports a 7-inch Super LCD touchscreen display that boasts a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution.

Moreover, it is powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor, and includes support for 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, as well as built-in GPS receiver.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab also comes to the market with a 3-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calling, and support for a wide range of Google services, as well as for applications downloadable via the Android Market.

The Android slate comes with 16 or 32GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, as well as with a 4000mAh battery inside.

Mobile phone users in Spain interested in the purchase of this device via Vodafone should head over to the carrier's website here to register their interest.
