Samsung is expected to release a flurry of tablets in 2014 and earlier today we have shared some information with you, according to which the Korean tech giant is hard at work on premium 8-inch and 10-inch AMOLED tablet models.

And another piece of information, reported by SamMobile shows that Sammy is not neglecting its budget slate portfolio, not by a long shot. According to the new info, the company is also working on a new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (dubbed SM-T11), a device scheduled to appear on the market during the second week of January 2014.

It appears Sammy is arranging to bring into being an entire family of Lite gadgets, as plans for the Galaxy Note 3 Lite and Galaxy Grande Lite handsets were unveiled as well.

So far, we don’t know what specifications the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is going to bring, but what we can tell you so far is that the tablet will be sporting a super affordable price of about €100 / $136.

If this turns out to be true, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite might become the cheapest tablet Samsung has ever put on the market. Maybe the Lite tag is an indication of a “light” price?

According to report, the upcoming budget tablet will become available in both Wi-Fi and 3G flavors. The initial launch will see a Wi-Fi Cream White version being unveiled in the second week of January, with the complementary 3G model following up just a week afterwards.

Ebony Black color models will also be added soon after (week four and six respectively). However, don’t get too excited just yet and take this with a grain of salt, because these dates might easily change and they usually do, as mass production for the devices starts.

Samsung is reportedly also working on 12.2-inch and 13.3-inch tablet models so 2014 is going to be a busy-busy year for the Korean tech giant.
