It’s no secret that Samsung wants to dethrone Apple from its high and mighty position on the tablet market. To do so, the company has claimed its intention to disengage with the smartphone market, said to have become overly saturated in the past few years.

In 2014, Sammy is planning to put all of its best efforts into tablets and reports showing that the tech giant isn't kidding haven’t been shy of appearing.

Last week we brought you news that Samsung was working on 8-inch and 10-inch AMOLED premium tablet modules, which it plans to unleash against the king of all slates, the iPad (with its smaller brother the iPad mini).

But Samsung is known for a very efficient strategy, that of offering products for every consumer sector on the market. So if Sammy is building premium models, it doesn’t mean it's neglecting its budget costumers. Not by a long shot.

Also last week, we told you the Korean behemoth had been tipped to be working on a budget slate, dubbed the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. The device might turn out to be the cheapest tablet the tech giant (or any other brand vendor, for that matter) have ever produced, with an estimated price tag of about €100 / $136.

Now the Galaxy Tab Lite has been spotted receiving its Wi-Fi certification for its Wi-Fi model (SM-T110). On top of that, according to Zauba, the device has been shipped to India for testing and evaluation purposes, confirming that the slate has passed its experimental stage.

But that’s not all, a UAProf entry for the 3G version (SM-T111) posted by SammyToday, reveals the tablet comes bearing a 1.2GHz processor, a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and has Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as the default operating system.

Up until now, we only knew that Samsung would release two models for the device (Wi-Fi and 3G) that will come in Cream White and Ebony Black. More details will probably be revealed soon.
