Usually, the 8-incher can be purchased in the UK with a price tag of £279 / $459 / €334 but, for a limited period of time, Isme is offering the tablet with a nice £80 / $132 / €96 discount.
This sounds like a sweet deal, especially when you consider the specs of the shrunken Galaxy Tab. The slate features an 8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. Samsung has added one of its own Exynos 4212 chipsets powered by two 1.5GHz CPUs coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and Mali-400MP GPU.
Samsung offers 16GB of internal storage (expandable to 64GB), two cameras (5MP on the back and 1.3MP in front) and a 4450 mAh battery that should amount to a long enough life span.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean that works in concert with Samsung’s own TouchWiz customized interface. Nevertheless, the Android 4.3 update is expected to drop soon.
