It may or may not apply to all online stores involved with it, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet is reported to have been delayed, its shipment date having been pushed back one week from what it was supposed to be.

For news about tablets to emerge is no longer something that can take end-users by surprise, what with so many of them already out or on their way.

Then again, it does seem as though there is just as much news about models getting delayed or being plagued by some issue or another as there are about new releases and updates.

In this particular case, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 slate has fallen under the eye of market watchers.

Apparently, even though the product was supposed to come out next week, on August 19, a pair of online retailers have changed their product pages to reflect new information.

Basically, instead of August 19, the slate will be shipped on August 24, at least as far as the model with 16 GB of built-in NAND Flash storage is concerned.

Whether or not the other WiFi and 4G versions have gone or will go through similar availability changes is unclear.

In fact, one cannot be perfectly certain of the delay of this very 16 GB one either, considering that, regardless of what FutureShop says, not all online vendors have changed their ETAs.

As a reminder, the tablet is based on an NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC (system-on-chip) dual-core ARM platform and has a screen whose diagonal is, obviously, 10.1 inches.

The native resolution of the panel is 1,280 x 800 pixels, while Gorilla Glass gives it a higher endurance than that of most.

Furthermore, 1 GB of RAM is present, as are two webcams, Bluetooth 3.0 and the Android 3.1 version of the honeycomb operating system.
