Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S6, is approaching us fast, judging by the massive number of leaks regarding the device we have seen in the past months.
The most recent report coming our way via Sam Mobile claims that Samsung is willing to drop the cumbersome fingerprint scanner that has made a debut in the Galaxy S5 and take up a touch-based fingerprint sensor instead.
Samsung to say goodbye to swipe-based fingerprint sensor?
Thus Samsung will finally be on par with companies like Apple, Meizu and Huawei which already equipped their top models with the technology.
Touch is deemed to be much more effective and fast than swipe, so it will be a very nice addition to have onboard of the Galaxy S6.
On the software front there are reportedly no new additions, but Samsung will bring back all of the older fingerprint-based features we saw on older Galaxy devices.
So users will be able to sign-in into websites by virtue of their fingerprints, verify their Samsung account, access Private Mode and Pay with PayPal by simply using their registered fingerprints.
That’s what we know for the time being, but that doesn't mean Samsung won’t end up surprising us with something fresh when the big day finally comes.
Samsung is apparently willing to do everything it takes to make the Galaxy S6 the device of your dreams, and in this respect it will apparently cut down on the clutter in its proprietary TouchWiz interface to a level that resembles the Nexus 6 and add metal into the equation too, for a more luxurious feel.
