It looks like the company has returned to its roots

There has been much talk about Samsung’s attempt to redesign its flagship smartphones from scratch and the first to “suffer” from it would be the Galaxy S6.

Samsung even named the phone internally Project Zero, thus suggesting that it brings something new on the market, especially in terms of design.

The first renders of the Galaxy S6 leaked last week, but the smartphone was hidden inside a case and we did not have a good glimpse at its actual design.

The latest renders, however, provide us with a better look on what’s to come. Samsung fans might not like what they’ll see in case they were expecting something completely new.

If these renders are indeed accurate and the Galaxy S6 will look exactly like the device in the pictures leaked via Weibo, then it seems like Samsung did not manage to accomplish anything new in terms of design.

Some would say that it looks very much like the iPhone and that Samsung is only good at copying Apple, but we could also add that it also resembles the Galaxy S II, one of the few good-looking Samsung Galaxy S flagships.

Is Project Zero the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S7?

The fact of the matter is that Samsung Galaxy S6 doesn’t bring anything new in terms of design. Even though the smartphone does not look bad per se, most people have been expecting a smartphone that would stand out from the myriad of other Galaxy S smartphones.

As we’re getting close to Mobile World Congress 2015, more pictures and details about the Galaxy S6 are likely to leak online. These are but the first renders of the upcoming flagship smartphone, so it’s hard to tell whether they are real or not.

If this is indeed the Galaxy S6 shown in these renders, then would you buy one based on the design and known specifications, or you’ll be waiting for the next flagship?
