Not that we did not know it yet, but we now have another confirmation coming from a well-trusted source that claims Samsung plans to launch two versions of Galaxy S6 next month at Mobile World Congress 2015.

According to Bloomberg, “people with direct knowledge of the matter” said the South Korean company plans to follow the same recipe applied to the Galaxy Note 4 and will launch a 3-sided flagship smartphone in March.

Although the name has yet to be confirmed, the edgy Galaxy S6 will be launched along with a more “common” version around the same timeframe.

The Galaxy S6 will be announced during Samsung’s Unpacked event next month, but it will probably not be available for purchase for at least one more month.

The 3-sided version of the Galaxy S6 will feature a display that covers the front, left and right side, unlike Galaxy Note Edge which only covers the front and right sides.

Even though Samsung is mum on the specifications of its upcoming flagship smartphone, lots of details have leaked until know that, if true, offer fans a glimpse into what the South Korean company is trying to accomplish with Galaxy S6.

Metal frames and 3-sided display will be the highlights of the S6 Edge

The most important aspect seems to be the addition of metal frames, which have been implemented for the first time in a flagship handset on Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

The rest of the specs have been detailed in a recent benchmark leaked online and points, obviously, to a high-end device. An octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset inside manufactured by Samsung or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 CPU will be at the core of Galaxy S6 processing power.

The smartphone will also pack a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. A 20MP camera on the back and 5MP front-facing camera have been allegedly confirmed as well.

It remains to be seen whether the Galaxy S6 Edge will be launched on the market at the same time as the standard version and whether or not Samsung plans to release it worldwide or just in some regions.
