Last week, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics made official its latest member of the popular Galaxy S family of devices, namely the Galaxy S5, and the smartphone is already available for pre-order through various carriers and retailers out there.

The latest company to have added the handset to its offering, albeit only for reservation purposes for the time being, is wireless carrier Orange. The company has kicked off pre-orders for the phone in some countries, and Romania appears to be one of them.

Users in the country can now order the new device in advance either opting in for a contract agreement or by paying its full retail price, which has been set at €699 ($960), as can be seen on the operator's website.

For this kind of money, users will also grab the device fully unlocked, it seems. Moreover, Orange will provide them with an S-View Flip Cover, so as to offer protection for the new flagship handset.

Those who will be interested in getting the new mobile phone on a contract will have to pay only €249 ($342) for it, while signing a two-year agreement with the wireless carrier on a €55 ($75) per month plan.

According to Orange, it will be able to deliver pre-ordered Galaxy S5 units as soon as April 11, which is the date when the smartphone will become officially available for purchase worldwide.

We should also note that people in Romania interested in the new device will be able to opt in only for the Black, Blue, and White color flavors. The Gold option hasn’t been made available for them, and there’s no telling on whether it will arrive in Romania as well.

As SamMobile notes, the smartphone was also added to the wireless carrier's website in Russia, and it can be seen on this page. Users willing to grab it can head over to register for updates on its availability.

Samsung Galaxy S5 will arrive in this country with all of the features and capabilities that Samsung announced for it last week, including a 2.5GHz quad-core processor inside and 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, the handset features a 5.1-inch Full HD screen, a 16-megapixel camera on the back (with 4K video recording capabilities), and 2MP front camera for making video calls.

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S5 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat loaded on top, as well as with a great deal of exclusive software features, which are part of the popular TouchWiz UI.

As April approaches, we should learn of more wireless carriers out there planning to add the new smartphone to their offerings, and we might also see it cheaper in some markets. After all, Samsung did unveil plans to release it in hundreds of countries at the same time.
