Samsung Canada has just confirmed the availability of the Galaxy S5 in the country from April 11. The smartphone will be available for purchase from all major carriers, as well as via Samsung Experience Stores in select cities.

Each carrier will announce its own pricing options, but Samsung says that customers in Vancouver and Edmonton will be able to buy the Galaxy S5 from Samsung Experience Stores for around $230 (€150) on select plans.

Those interested in the deal should know that Samsung Galaxy S5 will only be available in Charcoal Black and Shimmery White. The Electric Blue version will probably be launched in Canada later on, or maybe it will be exclusive to a carrier.

Even though Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S5 will be available in Canada beginning April 11, the company did not offer any details regarding the smartphone’s pre-orders.

However, the handset maker did confirm that pre-order and pre-registration options would soon be offered by all carriers and retail partners in Canada, so we suspect that more info will emerge in the next couple of days.

Given the fact that UK carriers and retailers will start taking pre-orders on March 28, there’s a high chance that Canadian operators will follow soon. Pricing options should be similar to that announced by Samsung, as the Galaxy S5 will be available in Samsung Experience Store only on select contracts.

It will be interesting to see what the outright price of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is, but this information will probably leak closer to the pre-order period.

Samsung Galaxy S5 will ship bundled with various software and services worth more than $600 (€430), but some may be restricted by region.

“We are at the forefront of wearable technology and we are very proud of our continued innovation and leadership in this space. We are confident that the GALAXY S5 and new Gear devices will create buzz with Canadians by providing them with the technology that allows them to Play More, Do More and Share More,” said Paul Brannen, senior VP, enterprise and mobile solutions, Samsung Canada.

In the same piece of news, Samsung Canada has also confirmed that it will launch the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit on the same day.

The Gear 2 will be available in Charcoal Black, Gold Brown, Wild Orange, while the Gear 2 Neo will come in Charcoal Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange. Last but not least, Samsung Gear Fit will only be available in Charcoal Black.
