Most carriers and major retailers will offer the smartphone

Samsung has just announced the upcoming availability of its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S 4.

During a press event held in NYC, the South Korean company confirmed there would be at least two versions of the phone going on sale in Europe and North America.

The European version, also known as the international Galaxy S 4, will make its debut on April 25 in the UK. Multiple carriers and major retailers confirmed they would sell the smartphone beginning next month.

According to AndroidCentral, Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be available for purchase from April 25 at Carphone Warehouse, and from April 26 from Phones4U.

Everything Everywhere (EE) also announced it would carry the Galaxy S 4 beginning April 26, with pre-orders starting on March 28.

There’s more to it, as the handset maker stated its Galaxy S 4 would also be available from April 26 in the UK from the Samsung Experience Store at Westfield Stratford City.

In related news, Samsung also mentioned the smartphone would be available across Europe from various mobile operators, including Deutsche Telecom, EE, H3G, Orange, Telenor, Telia Sonera, Telefonica, and Vodafone.

The Galaxy S 4 will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a powerful Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset with 1.6 GHz quad-core Cortex-A15 and quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPUs. More details on the phone’s specs sheet are available here.
