After introducing the Galaxy Y, Wave 3 and Omnia W, Samsung is about to debut yet another Android smartphone in India, the Galaxy S Plus.

Positioned between the original Galaxy S and the latest Galaxy S II flagship Android smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S Plus is now available on pre-order from Flipkart for Rs 22,500 (about $457 or 343 EUR).

Although the phone's exact release date has yet to be determined, the online retailer suggests that Samsung Galaxy S Plus is expected to be released in the second week of October.

Obviously, customers who want to pre-order the smartphone via Flipkart can choose to pay for the Galaxy S Plus on delivery.

There are no information regarding the phone's sales package, but the Galaxy S Plus is delivered with warranty for the phone and 6 months warranty for accessories from Samsung India.

Announced back in April, Samsung Galaxy S Plus was introduced on the market in July and is available in two color schemes: black and white.

Android fans will be happy to find that the smartphone runs Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with TouchWiz 3.0 user interface on top.

Unlike the Galaxy S II that is delivered with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, the Galaxy S Plus is equipped with a single core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255T Snapdragon CPU and an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit (GPU).

Furthermore, the phone sports a slightly downgraded 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and HD (720p) video recording capabilities, as well as a secondary VGA front facing camera for video chats.

Samsung Galaxy S Plus packs 8 GB of internal memory, 512 MB of RAM, 2 GB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Even though it comes with a similar battery, Galaxy S Plus should provide superior standby and talk time, in comparison to the Galaxy S II.

Samsung rated the Galaxy S Plus 1650 mAh battery for up to 750 hours (625 hours for 3G mode) of standby time or up to 13 hours (6 hours and 30 minutes for 3G mode) of talk time.
