The company made some last-minute design-related changes

Although we still don’t know for sure what the Galaxy S III will look like, rumors on its design and specs continue to pour in.

According to the latest hearsay, Samsung made some changes at the last moment before the Galaxy S III went into production.

The folks at UnwiredView, citing Korean Digital Daily, claim that the future Samsung Android flagship smartphone will feature a physical Home button after all.

Apparently, this is a last-minute change, which was made after a long debate between two sides. It appears that the one supporting the idea of implementing a physical home button has won at the very last moment.

Besides that, there’s another interesting change that will be added to the Galaxy S III, but it’s unclear if this was a recent decision or Samsung thought this through a long time ago.

Unlike other Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphones that feature a 4-colum user interface, the Galaxy S III will run a 5-column UI, which pretty much resembles that of the Galaxy Note.

We’re just a month away from the rumored release date of Galaxy S III and we still don’t know what the device will look like. It appears that Samsung learned from Apple how to guard its upcoming devices’ secrets.

Sources in the industry, cited by ET News, claim that “mobile manufacturers usually provide mobile phones for network interworking tests two months before launching them. But we predict that we will be able to run the test for Galaxy S3 right before the release. We are preparing to perform the test as fast as possible because the time is short.”

Usually carriers receive new devices disguised in old models, but with new hardware and software configuration. Unfortunately, the fact that these new devices are tested such a short time before going live in the market is the main reason they have so many problems.
