The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 has been in the news a lot lately, being one of the most highly anticipated tablet models Sammy is going to unveil soon.

At this point we can’t be sure whether we’re going to see the slate show its face into the wild at CES or MWC, but we can be certain in the first few months of the year, we'll see an unveiling.

Nevertheless, as we wait, more information about the upcoming tablet is being revealed. The folks over at SamMobile have received confirmation that the tablet’s UI will come boasting a unique aroma, but for the time being we can’t give you any more details on the matter.

It’s known that Samsung will try to leave a distinctive mark on the tablet market this year, in an attempt to overtake big players in the game, like Apple and a completely redesigned UI might be part of the plan to do so.

Anyway, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2’s specifications and AnTuTu benchmark details have recently leaked into the wild, so we can get a better idea of what’s coming our way in the first months of the year.

When it becomes available, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 will come in two variants, the Wi-Fi-only one (SM-P900) and the LTE one (SM-P905).

The latter will come sporting a 12.2-inch display with a WQXGA resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and 16:10 aspect ratio. The power-house of the slate will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC processor clocked at 2.3GHz backed up by 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.

Samsung will also add an 8MP main camera with full HD video shooting capabilities and a 2.1MP front snapper. As expected, the slate will run the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and with Samsung’s revamped TouchWiz interface.

Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 will pack Wi-Fi 802.11ac on top of the standard a/b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0+LE and IR blaster (used for remote control).

The Wi-Fi only version might feature slightly modified specs, but for now we don’t know the details.

Now if you’re wondering about the benchmarks, the slate managed to score 34,261 points (in AnTuTu), but it should be noted the device is currently loaded with experimental software, with tips saying the device will be able to reach 40,000 with the proper soft.
