14 DAY TRIAL // Korean handset manufacturer Samsung has just announced the upcoming availability of the Galaxy Note across Europe.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note will be available with major operators including Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefonica, and Vodafone in Europe, starting November.
Showcased earlier last month at IFA 2011 trade fair, Samsung Galaxy Note combines one of the largest HD Super AMOLED display available on the market with the advanced S Pen features that enhances the artistic needs of any user.
Given its large size (146.9 x 83 x 9.7mm), Samsung Galaxy Note is positioned at the threshold between tablets and smartphones.
“Galaxy Note is a revolutionary product to open a new category in the mobile industry and I am very proud of this accomplishment,” said JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business.
The Galaxy Note comes with a huge 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, which is protected by Gorilla Glass display.
Furthermore, the functionality of the brilliant display is enhanced by an advanced pen-input technology, called the S Pen, which introduces an innovative user experience.
Basically, users will be able to accurately sketch and make artworks, take advantage of the superior handwriting recognition feature, which converts into digital characters, or even cut&paste pictures.
“Samsung GALAXY Note will redefine and enhance mobile communication by offering a more advanced, productive and creative user experience with its new innovative features such as S Memo, S Planner and S Choice. I hope European customers will enjoy our new product and fully take advantage of GALAXY Note’s many innovative features,” added JK Shin.
Although Samsung announced the upcoming availability of the Galaxy Note, it has yet to reveal any price options for the smartphone.
However, based on the latest prices spotted at various retailers around the world, the Galaxy Note should be available for around $800 (564 EUR) - $1000 (705 EUR) without contract.
