Samsung has just announced the availability of the white Galaxy Note in the UK. The white flavor of the smartphone can be purchased starting today exclusively from John Lewis on Oxford Street London.

This is the second country that gets the white Galaxy Note, as Samsung initially launched it in South Korea and Malaysia last month.

Although there’s no word on the phone’s price tag yet, it appears that the first 100 customers who purchase the white Galaxy Note will receive £250 (390 USD or 300 EUR) of free music, films and e-Books.

In addition, the Korean handset maker confirmed that the white Galaxy Note would be available through additional channels beginning February 2012.

At Samsung we always want to offer our customers choice and are delighted to bring the Galaxy Note in white to the UK. The Galaxy Note is an innovative addition to the Samsung Galaxy family and a new category of device that consumers can’t get anywhere else,” said Simon Stanford, managing director, UK & IRE Telecommunications & Networks Division.

Samsung Galaxy Note is a hybrid device that combines the advantages of a netbook and the portability of a smartphone. Thanks to its 5.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with HD resolution, users will be able to easily take notes, read online newspapers or make sketches.

The smartphone comes bundled with a special stylus called S Pen, which allows users to make drawings, send links or emails much easier. Furthermore, a series of new applications that have been especially designed to work with the S Pen are now available for download from Samsung Apps.

Hardware-wise, the white Galaxy Note features the same specs sheet as the classic Black version, including a dual core 1.4 GHz processor, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB or RAM, microSD card slot (up to 32GB, 2GB memory included), LTE and Wi-Fi support, as well as dual cameras (8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing photo snapper).
