As expected, AT&T made the Samsung Galaxy Note at its store locations as well as online. Customers can purchase the phablet for $299.99 (230 EUR) with a new two-year agreement and a qualifying monthly data plan.

Those who do not wish to commit to a long-term contract can purchase the Galaxy Note for $649.99 (490 EUR) outright. The carrier also offers free shipping with online purchase.

Initially launched on the market last year in October, the European variant of Galaxy Note is a bit different from the North American version when it comes to design and hardware.

The big D-pad button in the front has been replaced with four touch-sensitive keys, while the battery cover features a texturized pattern, unlike the European Galaxy Note that comes with a polished back cover.

Hardware-wise, the European Galaxy Note packs a 1.4 GHz dual-core Exynos processor and a Mali-400MP GPU, whereas the AT&T version features a slightly more powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon CPU, complemented by an Adreno 220 graphics processing unit.

Other than that most of the specs are similar, including the extra-large 5.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that supports 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass coating for extra protection.

On the inside, AT&T Galaxy Note packs 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). Obviously, LTE-support is offered as well, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and EDR.

On the back, there’s an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED-flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

Last but not least, Samsung Galaxy Note is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, but the superphone has been confirmed for an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade sometime in March.
