According to the rumor mill and the latest evidence found online, Samsung is most likely working on a 12.2-inch slate, as part of its plan to focus more on tablets than on smartphones in 2014.

The purported Sammy slate has already received Bluetooth SIG certification for the second time, so we might suppose that the tech giant has a working prototype available.

Soon after, AnTuTu Benchmark blog leaked a list of impressive specifications for the slate, showcasing that Samsung has big plans for the tablet.

Some benchmark results were also added to the post to reveal that the upcoming slate managed to score better than the Galaxy Note 3, a tablet sporting the same CPU configuration, but having a smaller screen.

So far, the 12.2-incher has popped up under various code names like SM-P905, SM-P00, SM-P901 or SM-P905V. SM-P905 was spotted passing through the FCC, not so long ago, revealing some details in the process.

Apparently, the slate will have a 14.1-inch diagonal and will come with an S pen. That being said, the 12.2-incher might turn out to be a larger version of the Galaxy Note. 10.1

Now, the most recent development in the story reveals that another variant of the slate, SM-P900 has shown up on the FCC website as well.

The filing provides us with a few extra sketches of the purported device, with one of the drawings clearly showing room for a stylus on the side of the case. So there you have it, a new member is coming to the Galaxy Note family.

Besides that, we get to find out what the exact dimensions for the product are: it’s going to be 358 mm / 14.09 inches in diagonal, 295 mm / 11.61 inches in height and 204 mm / 8.03 inches in width.

Previous rumors have indicated that when the Sammy 12.2-incher comes out, it will come boasting a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Two cameras will be offered onboard (8MP on the back and 2MP on the front.)

According to a recent tip, the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 is expected to drop at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Spain in February.
