Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is getting updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat in the US

Last week it was reported the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the high-end Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) started being rolled out.

A few days ago the build was spotted in Columbia on the Wi-Fi only variant of the device (SM-P600), but now the update has made its way onto other territories, as well.

Currently, we’re getting reports saying US owners of the Wi-Fi model are getting the update and so far there's no mention of bugs. To check if you are eligible to receive the update go to Settings> About Tablet > Software Updates > Check for Updates. If the new build is not there waiting for you, you might have to come back later and check.

So what can you expect to see from this new update? Well, the transition to KitKat should bring about immersive mode, cloud printing and other dedicated features like that. Users that have installed the new build have also noticed a few graphical changes in the TouchWiz interface.

Other tweaks include a revamped Multi Windows bar that has been pushed all the way to the right and is now taking up two rows, making it quite reminiscent of what we see on Samsung’s latest Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO line-up.
