In late April, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics unveiled to the world a new camera phone, in the form of Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, which is already up for pre-order in the UK.

Samsung is now providing users in the country with the possibility to reserve the handset through its own website and asks £400 ($675/€495) for it.

However, the company is also offering a pre-order deal on the new device, allowing users to enjoy a 10 percent price cut via a promo code, as UnwiredView notes.

According to the company’s official portal, the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is scheduled to start shipping on May 29, which means that it should arrive at other retailers as well starting that day.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Samsung Galaxy K Zoom was launched as the successor of last year’s Galaxy S4 Zoom, packing a large, 20-megapixel camera on the back.

The handset also sports a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display capable of offering a 720 x 1280 pixels (HD) resolution, as well as a hexa-core processor inside (1.7GHz dual-core + 1.3GHz quad-core).

Moreover, Samsung Galaxy K Zoom will arrive on the market with 2GB of RAM, as well as with 8GB of internal memory, paired with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the smartphone features a 20.7-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution and complemented by a 2MP front camera for making video calls.

“GALAXY K zoom is packed with power that even pros can respect. A bright 20.7MP BSI CMOS sensor gives you brilliant shots even in low light, and an onboard ISP chip makes details even sharper,” Samsung notes on its website.

“New retracting lens technology makes the 10x optical zoom powerful yet remarkably slim, giving you the sharpness of real optics in a chic body. And it’s so easy to use, with Pinch Zoom and one-touch Quick Zoom.”

The smartphone is powered by a 2430mAh battery and arrives on the market with all of the usual connectivity capabilities inside, such as Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4 + 5GHz, Bluetooth 4.0, MHL 1.3 port, and built-in GPS receiver, with Glonass.

The mobile phone arrives on the market with the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system loaded on top, but it also sports a series of customizations and exclusive features coming from Samsung itself. Not to mention that it comes with an ergonomic design, offering great grip.
