As expected, Samsung Galaxy J has just been officially introduced in Taiwan and will go on sale next week for only 21,900 TWD ($740 / €540) outright.

The Galaxy J was released in Japan a while ago and is currently available in blue, red and white color options. Customers in Taiwan will be able to pick the phone in either red or white, as the blue-themed version remains exclusive to Japan.

SamMobile reports that the Galaxy J can also be purchased for as low as 7,990 TWD ($270 / €195) with new select contracts starting from 1,343 TWD ($45 / €33) through various carriers.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling whether or not Samsung Galaxy J will be launched in other regions as well, though we suspect that if the South Korean handset maker decides to bring it to other markets, the smartphone will be slightly different in terms of specs.

The Taiwanese Galaxy J has been specially designed to feature 4G LTE support. The device ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, which makes it compatible with Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

On the inside, the premium smartphone packs a powerful 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

There’s also an enhanced 13-megapixel main camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording support, while in the front, there’s a secondary 1.9-megapixel camera for video calls.

The device also boasts a hyper-vibrant 5-inch full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, as well as 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

Last but not least, Samsung Galaxy J is powered by a high-capacity 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

For the non-tech-savvy, the Galaxy J is a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in a Galaxy S4 body. Android fans who did not purchase Samsung's phablet due to its large size might want to consider buying the Galaxy J, which is much smaller and comes with similar specs.
