South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has launched in India two new versions of its Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone, namely Black and Pink.

The mobile phone was made available in the country back in January, with a price tag of Rs. 22,999 ($370/€269) attached to it.

Users in India can already purchase the new Black version of the mobile phone, though it appears that the Pink variant is only listed as coming soon in the country. However, users will still be able to register for updates on its release.

As SamMobile notes, Galaxy Grand 2 hasn’t seen too much interest from users in India as of now, although it was launched with a nice range of enhancements over the original Galaxy Grand smartphone.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the phone comes with a 5.25-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution, as well as with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor packed inside.

Moreover, the handset features 1.5GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the new device sports an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus, paired with a 1.9MP front camera for making video calls.

The specifications list of Samsung’s Galaxy Grand 2 also includes support for 3G networks, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a 2600mAh battery.

The same as many smartphones in India, it comes with support for two SIM cards at the same time. Samsung has loaded the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system on this device, with its own TouchWiz user interface on top.

Those of you who would like to grab the Galaxy Grand 2 in the newly announced color options should head over to Samsung’s official website for that.
