Looking to buy the Galaxy Gear smartwatch? Well, if you live in India, I have very good news for you as this might be the perfect time to do so.

Mahesh Telecom reports on Twitter that Samsung has slashed the price of the gizmo from the original Rs. 22,990 / $374 / €273 to Rs. 18,999 / $309 / €226.

For those who don’t know, the watch has a 1.63-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and draws power from an 800 MHz processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

The watch can be connected to a smartphone, so users can see quick previews of texts or emails. The Galaxy Gear is capable of recording video at 720 p and snap pictures via the 1.9MP camera with BSI sensor.

On top of that, the watch comes equipped with two mics and allows users to place phone calls. The S voice technology makes it possible for users to create calendar entries, set alarms or check the weather via vocal commands.

For now, other Indian online retailers haven’t axed the price of the Galaxy Gear, but Samsung is selling it with Rs. 19,075 / $320 / €234 (taxes included).
