Mobile phone carrier O2 is getting ready for the launch of some new, appealing smartphones on its airwaves in the near future, two of which come from Samsung and run under Android, namely Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini.

Both of these handsets, officially announced only a few weeks ago, are set to become available on O2's airwaves sometime in March, at least this is what the “coming soon” pages the carrier put up for them on its website suggest.

The new members of the Galaxy family come to the market with a nice range of features packed inside affordable handsets.

For example, the Samsung Galaxy Ace sports a large 3.5-inch screen, along with a powerful processor, 5MP Camera with LED Flash, the whole range of sensors and enhanced connectivity options.

Here's how the wireless carrier describes it: “An elegant device with a powerful 800 Mhz processor means you can make use of multiple applications at the same time combined with great 3D graphics.”

“Capture those fun and memorable time with the 5MP camera with LED flash, or if you want to catch up on your favorite programmes on the large 3.5" screen when away from home tune into the BBC iPlayer,” the company continues.

As for Samsung Galaxy Mini, it sports a tide smaller screen, at 3.14-inch, but still includes great connectivity capabilities, with support for HSDPA 7.2, for an improved Internet browsing experience on the carrier's network.

“With the latest Android software (Froyo) the Galaxy Mini will deliver super fast web browsing with flash 10.1 support and wireless tethering which lets you to create a WiFi hotspot anywhere, anytime,” O2 notes on its website.

Specific info on the exact availability of the two new Samsung Galaxy smartphones at O2 in the UK lacks at the moment, but more should become available in the not too far future, so stay tuned to learn additional details on this.
