For whatever reasons, Samsung initially launched the Galaxy Ace Plus about two weeks ago. The smartphone was available until recently for Rs 16,275 (325 USD or 250 EUR) outright, but it appears that Indian retailers cut down the Galaxy Ace Plus price.

According to the guys over at AndroidOS, Flipkart is now offering the smartphone for Rs 15,500 (305 USD or 225 EUR) off-contract.

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone is bundled with some free stuff, including a Samsung HM1000 Bluetooth Headset and a 16GB microSD memory card.

Aimed at youngsters, Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus “sports a trendy look with a sleek finish.” The smartphone measures 114.5 x 62.5 x 11.2 mm and weighs only 115g (battery included).

Android fans are probably already aware that this mid-range smartphone is powered by Gingerbread platform with little to no chances to get an official Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.

The Galaxy Ace Plus is an all-rounder when it comes to connectivity options, as the smartphone offers HSDPA (7.2Mbps), Wi-Fi, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot support, along with Bluetooth and microUSB.

The devices features a 1300 mAh Li-ion battery that, once fully recharged, promises to efficiently take care of all the apps and processes for “a sufficiently long period of use.”

Tagged as a mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy Ace Plus is equipped with a 1 GHz single-core processor and an Adreno 200 graphics processing unit. It also packs 3GB of internal memory, 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There’s also a 5-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus and LED flash, but the Galaxy Ace Plus lacks a secondary front-facing camera for video calls.

Last but not least, the handset offers a decent 3.65-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.
