The unannounced Samsung Galaxy Win appeared yesterday in Vietnam. Today, the smartphone was silently made official in China.

Although the South Korean company has yet to come forward with an official statement, the Galaxy Win is now listed on Samsung’s Chinese site.

There’s no word on availability and pricing options yet, but we do know the Galaxy Win will be available from various Chinese carriers.

According to SammyHub, Samsung will launch other Galaxy Win variants besides the original model, such as GT-I869 and GT-I8558, which are carrier-dependent.

Also known as Samsung GT-I8552, the Galaxy Win will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and a mid-end 1.2 GHz quad-core processor.

No official word on the chipset inside the phone, but rumors point to a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8225Q processor.

Unsurprisingly, the smartphone comes with dual-SIM (GSM / GSM) capability with dual standby. The bad news is this dual-SIM version of Galaxy Win is likely to be limited to the Chinese market, so the rest of the world will only get the single-SIM variant.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy Win has been confirmed to sport a large 4.7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

On the back, the smartphone packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED Flash and video recording. There’s also a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Samsung does not offer any details on the amount of storage and RAM, but the company states the Galaxy Win comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Other highlights of the mid-range Android smartphone include: 3G (HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps), 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, as well as built-in GPS. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
