It appears that all Canadian carriers will offer the “next Galaxy” smartphone in the following weeks. TELUS and SaskTel have already confirmed the upcoming availability of the Galaxy S III, and now WIND Mobile announced it would carry the smartphone as well.

According to the latest hearsay, the North American variant of Samsung Galaxy S III will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset that pack two cores clocked at 1.5 GHz.

The international version of Galaxy S III sports an Exynos 4412 Quad chipset with four cores clocked at 1.4 GHz, but lacks LTE support, which is mandatory for the North American market.

Although Samsung announced plans to release three versions of Galaxy S III, each with a different amount of storage, it’s almost certain that WIND Mobile will get the 16GB model.

A 32GB model will probably be available only in Europe, while a 64GB variant will be launched on the market later this year.

The rest of the phone’s features will probably be common to both North American and international version, including the hyper-vibrant 4.8-inch Super AMOLED (Pentile) capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution.

It is also worth mentioning that the phone’s large display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating. Obviously, Galaxy S III will be powered by Android 4.0.3 ICS platform out of the box.

WIND Mobile notes that additional details regarding the Galaxy S III’s specs sheet, pricing options and availability will be announced in the coming weeks.

WIND is excited about being part of the Canadian launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III this summer. This advanced device aligns perfectly with our initiative of introducing hot new handsets to customers each month and with our truly unlimited plans customers will be able to experience the device to its full capabilities,” said Anthony Lacavera, CEO of WIND Mobile.
