Germany is among the few European countries that can praise itself for having a fully functional 4G network. This is the reason why Android enthusiasts have been able to purchase devices that were not available in other European countries.

Made official back in February, HTC Velocity 4G was introduced in Germany a few months later through major carrier Vodafone.

The smartphone offers LTE support and packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 220 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

However, this won’t be the last 4G-enabled smartphone that hits shelves in Germany this year. The folks over at SammyHub report that Samsung plans to launch an LTE version of the Galaxy S III.

Rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy S III LTE will be released in Germany in October. Customers will be able to purchase the powerful smartphone for a whopping suggested retail price or 750 EUR (940 USD).

That’s a bit overpriced, especially in comparison with the standard Galaxy S III model, which only offers HSPA+ (21Mbps).

The LTE-enabled Galaxy S III will still be equipped with an Exynos quad-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz and will pack 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone will provide users with download and upload speeds up to 100Mbit/s and 50Mbit/s, respectively.

Other highlights of the Samsung Galaxy S III LTE include an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The LTE variant of Galaxy S III boasts a stunning 4.8-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

There are no mentions of storage amount, but we suspect only the 16GB model will be available for purchase. Stay tuned for more info on the subject.
