There have been lots of rumors surrounding Samsung Galaxy S 4’s launch in India. The smartphone has been listed one month ago for a whopping Rs 60,000 ($1,105/ €855) and with an early May release date attached to it.

However, we doubt that Samsung will price the Galaxy S 4 so high in India especially that this is an emerging market.

In this regard, the folks over at fonearena claim that Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be launched in India on April 27. This comes in line with the leaked release date that emerged yesterday.

Although Samsung announced the Galaxy S 4 would be initially launched in three countries in late April, it appears that the South Korean changed its mind and decided to bring their flagship smartphone in 30 countries next week.

We only know the device will go on sale in the UK, South Korea and perhaps in the United States via AT&T, but it looks like the smartphone will arrive in India as well.

Multiple sources close to matter told fonearena Samsung Galaxy S 4 is likely to go on sale in India on April 27 for around Rs 40,000 outright, which is about $735 or €560.

Still, until an official confirmation is issued, we can only guess the suggested retail price of the Galaxy S 4. In this regard, it appears that HTC One, which is expected to arrive in India around the same timeframe, will be priced a bit higher than Galaxy S 4.

For the time being, HTC One has been confirmed to hit shelves in India for no less than Rs 42,900 ($785/€605) off contract.

No word on which version of Galaxy S 4 will be launched in India yet, but Android fans in the country might be able to get the Qualcomm-based model or the octo-core variant. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
