Samsung took the wrap off the Galaxy Ace Plus back in January, but did not reveal any details regarding the phone’s exact release date.

However, several UK-based retailers took it upon themselves and said the phone would be available in February. One of these retailers, Expansys, confirmed the Galaxy Ace Plus was due to arrive in stock on February 13.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus has yet to arrive in stock at any retailer in the UK, and word is that the Korean handset manufacturer pushed the launch date to next month. At least that’s what KingofGadgets, another UK-based retailer speculates.

SoMobile found out that Galaxy Ace Plus is expected to arrive in stock on March, but customers can already pre-order the smartphone for £249.99 (395 USD or 300 EUR).

Built on the original Galaxy Ace success, this improved version comes with more memory, a larger screen, and a faster processor.

According to Samsung, “the Galaxy Ace Plus is a stylishly designed smartphone contained in a modern and minimalist casing with rounded edges, featuring an affordably-sized 3.65'' HVGA display. The phone has been designed to be simple yet elegant.”

Unlike the Galaxy Ace, the enhanced Galaxy Ace Plus is equipped with a slightly better 1 GHz single-core processor and packs 3GB of internal memory, along with 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Moreover, Galaxy Ace Plus sports a larger 3.65-inch capacitive touchscreen with support for 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 16 million colors. The phone is powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with TouchWiz user interface on top.

Other highlights of the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, HSDPA, 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, as well a built-in GPS receiver and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities.
