There are three headphones/earphones and one speaker in the Level series

Samsung could have formally launched its latest audio products one by one, but it decided to release them as a collection instead. So here it is, the Level line of headphones, earphones and speakers.

There are four products in the series, two headphones, a pair of earphones, and a speaker. A portable speaker to be exact, with wireless connectivity.

The speaker in question is called Level Box, which is obviously a play on the word “boombox,” a term commonly used for some portable Bluetooth speakers (and not only).

And this is, indeed, a Bluetooth speaker. There's a 56 mm driver inside, as well as noise reduction, echo cancellation technology, and a full metal grille.

The Level Box also happens to possess a passive radiator and is encased in metal. Aluminum from what we can see.

Finally, the Level Box possesses NFC (near field communication). It's a very short-range, high-speed wireless transmission technology that isn't much good for actual audio streaming, but will allow an item to pair with smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and anything else that also has NFC and Bluetooth.

It works like this: the NFC chips recognize each other, allowing the Level Box and the audio source to sync and communicate via Bluetooth.

Now on to the headphones. Level Over is what it sounds like: a set of over-the-ear headphones. They have HD organic sound, touch controls and, of course, Bluetooth. Level Over is the new flagship audio product, more or less, with 50 mm Dynamic Drivers and Bio Cellulose free edge structure (reduces unneeded booming).

The second headset is Level On, which has 40 mm design and is otherwise similar to the Over, except that they lack noise canceling and Bluetooth.

That leaves the Level In, the only set of earphones that go inside your ear canal. They should cover low, mid and high sounds, and block out most noise just by virtue of being the equivalent of glorified ear plugs.

The Level Box and Level Over should be able to last for around 15 hours or so, maybe more for the headset. The others have connector cables, so this issue doesn't apply to them.

Unfortunately, while Samsung did provide most of the essential technical details of the new products, and photos of them, it didn't exactly say what prices they had. We probably have to wait until the middle of May for them, since that's when sales are expected to begin.
