14 DAY TRIAL // Leaked only a week back, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has become a certainty, as the Korean handset maker has just announced the upcoming availability of the tablet.
Positioned between the original Galaxy Tab 7 and the Galaxy Tab 7.7, the latest tablet in the Galaxy family will be launched in Indonesia and Austria in mid-October.
The slate will be introduced in other markets soon after, including Southeast and Southwest Asia, US, Europe, CIS, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Japan and China.
It looks like the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus follows the same design line of the original Galaxy Tab 7, but is lighter (345g) and slimmer at only 9.96mm.
As suggested by its codename, the tablet comes with a 7-inch WSVGA PLS capacitive touchscreen display that supports 16 million colors and 1024 x 600 pixels resolution.
Unlike the original version, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual core processor and is powered by Google's Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system with TouchWiz user interface on top.

The slate is delivered with 21Mbps HSPA+ support, as well as Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, along with Wi-Fi Direct.
In addition, it packs a 3-megapixel main camera with autofocus and HD video recording capabilities, and a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.
Customers will be able to choose one of the two versions that will be launched on the market, a 16GB or a 32GB variant. Storage can be expanded up to 64GB via an internal microSD card slot.
Samsung has yet to announce any information regarding the tablet's release calendar and price options
