It appears that unveiling a new ultrathin laptop is not all that Samsung is up to, as it seems to have launched a bunch of other things, among them being a full collection of 3D monitors for those that want aesthetic value all around.

3D monitors are, by nature, much more expensive than any regular screens and, thus, mostly restricted to the high-end consumer market.

The same goes for TV sets of this kind, meaning that, since only a handful of consumers will even be able to acquire one of them, it wouldn't be much of a loss to boost the price after adding some style to the products.

Whether for this reason or not, Samsung just launched the 3D LED HDTV Monitor Series 9 (TA950) and Series 7 (TA750) displays which “offer a pristine yet versatile viewing environment.”

“As all the major studios and game companies continue to boost the availability of high-quality 3D content, a 3D monitor will be an essential part of any home’s 3D ecosystem,” said Young Bae, director of display marketing, Samsung Enterprise Business Division.

“Samsung’s latest display technologies and designs ensure we will maintain our leadership, not only in the LED and monitor categories, but also in 3D entertainment.”

The newcomers can have sizes of 23 inches and 27 inches and will start selling in May, for a starting price of $599.99.

They have Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixel) support, refresh rate of 120 Hz (60 Hz for each eye in 3D mode) and should serve best in 3D video playback and gaming.

What's more, Samsung's proprietary 3D technology (3D HyperReal Engine) optimizes motion, contrast and color in such scenarios.

Finally, the Smart Hub feature lets one use the display to search content on a PC, the web or network, recommend videos based on viewing history and even access the Samsung Apps HDTV-based application store (the first of its kind).
