Yet again, as end-users undoubtedly have been expecting, the Pine Trail netbook family has just found that it will be growing even larger, with Samsung having its own two models on their way. The company plans to introduce two distinct netbooks, namely the N150 and NB30, both of which have rather similar specifications, differing from each other through battery life and certain small perks, which the NB30 has over its sibling.

Besides offering good 3G and GPS capabilities, the Samsung N150 does not seem to pack anything special, according to Neobits. The product is powered by the now well-known Intel Atom N450 processor at 1.66GHz and has 1GB of DDR2 memory along with a storage capacity of 160GB. The netbook uses the Intel media graphics Accelerator (GMA) 3150. Unfortunately, the product's 10.1-inch WSVGA display is only capable of, at most, a resolution of 1024x600.

The N150's Input/Output (I/O) options include three USB 2.0 ports out of which one is chargeable, a VGA output, an RJ45 connector, a headphone and mic-in, as well as a 3-in-1 card reader capable of interfacing with SD, SDHC and MMC memory cards. The only thing not exactly unremarkable about the laptop is its fairly long battery life of up to seven hours. This is enabled by the 4,400mAh battery, although the low power consumption is mostly owed to the lack of power-hungry features contained within the N150.

The NB30 has quite similar processing, memory, storage and graphics specifications, but its hard drive, although still at 160GB and 5400RPM, is built with a free fall sensor. Still, as a minor downside, its 4,400mAh Lithium-Ion battery can keep the system running for a slightly shorter period of time, specifically for six hours and a half.

Both netbooks weigh 2.73 lbs and come with a one-year warranty. They run the Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system and are available for pre-order at the prices of $373.95 (N150) and $405.95 (NB30).
