It might even show up at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show

The Galaxy Gear Smartwatch from Samsung didn't really leave the world in awe, not when it was only compatible with a couple of phones (something that hasn't changed). The company isn't about to fold though.

According to A Twitter post by Samsung Mobile UK, a second-generation Galaxy Gear may be on the way.

The tweet itself was vague, shaped like a question of what you would like Samsung to bring to CES 2014.

Below is a picture of the Galaxy Gear and an empty spot next to it, asking “What next?”

Previous reports suggested that the Gear successor, Galaxy Gear 2.0 or whatever its name is, will debut in Q1 2014, so the timing fits.

Still, Samsung may just launch a Galaxy Band instead (which, as the name implies is a fitness tracker shaped like a wrist band).
