The display can be tilted up and down while the base holds everything of power

Most all-in-one PCs look like monitors that happen to have every necessary PC component behind the display panel, but Samsung chose something less ordinary when it designed the new member of the Series 7.

Samsung is known for a great many sorts of IT products, from PCs to consumer electronics and even more or less basic components.

Of course, the sheer variety of things it launched at the Mobile Solutions Forum made this more than clear.

Apparently, the company really is determined to work as many angles as possible right now, as an all-in-one PC was also spotted.

Described as a member of the Series 7 product line, it has a design that sets it apart from the regular AiO, high and low-end alike.

Instead of cramming all the PC parts behind the screen, the newcomer has most of them in the base.

As for the screen itself, it is a very thin display panel with a diagonal of 23 inches that can be tilted up to 90 degrees. It even boasts the surface acoustic wave (SAW) touch technology.

For those who are interested in the exact components, an Intel Core processor from the second generation (Sandy Bridge) lies at the heart of the item, so to speak.

Said CPU is backed up by DDR3 memory (such as it is) and paired with a storage drive, an SD card slot, a slot-in optical drive, Gigabit Ethernet, USB (one USB 3.0 is among the ports) and dual HDMI, for streaming to HDTVs or better monitors.

According to the report that exposed the existence of this computer, the starting price of the machine (Core i3 CPU) is $999 (736.67 Euro), while the top model (Core i5) has a tag of $1,199 (884.15 Euro).

People interested in buying it will have to wait until October 10, 2011, when it starts shipping. Those that just want to know more of the specifics might get the info they want a bit sooner though.
