Recently, South Korean electronics maker Samsung announced that the company was planning to become one of the market leaders on the mirrorless camera segment as soon as 2015. The first step towards this goal has already been made, as the firm has unified its Digital Imaging Business Division with the Wireless Business Division.

While everyone is waiting for next week's CES 2014 show, a few rumors have already emerged about the possible announcements that will be made by Samsung regarding its mirrorless digital camera business.

The company is about to reveal the successor of NX20, the NX30 model that comes with a newly developed 20.3MP APS-C CMOS image sensor, tiltable EVF, 1/8000 shutter speed, and high ISO sensitivity of up to 51,200.

According to TheNewCamera, Samsung NX30 will be sold along a new high-grade 16-50mm f/2.8 lens that features improved optical capabilities, built-in optical image stabilization, and SSA-a supersonic AF motor, all packed in a weather sealed body. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if this lens’ capabilities live up to the expectations.
