Samsin promise no wires at all

I'll just have to say that the name of this company sounds more like the Powasonic, Adibas or Thoshiba... the king of brand easily to mistake when not paying strict attention to the pronunciation. Nevertheless, Samsin come forth with a very interesting offer: the world's first Bluetooth speakers that are completely wireless! [admark=1]

There is a huge pile of Bluetooth loudspeakers out there but the "wireless" in them refers to the signal transmission only. They need powering up and this means wires; the correct name would be wireless signal, wire-powered loudspeakers, wouldn't it? Well, the Samsin BSB-6600 promise they will deliver you from all wires as they are powered by rechargeable Li-polymer batteries and that is the way you can actually get rid of the wires...at least until you need to recharge...

The Samsin BSB-6600 is indeed one cool idea with a rather neat design: the two loudspeakers sport a tear/globular shape and will go pretty much anywhere; being capable to receive Bluetooth streams from a wide variety of devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth-capable new-generation MP3/media players and the like.

Samsin claim that the BSB-6600 speakers (quite a weird name for a first, don't you think?) will be able to deliver sound for up to eight hours and sport a 240-hour standby while the full charging will take up to 3.5 hours. Now, there have been released more detailed specs such as the signal to noise ratio (SNR) or 70dB and a 60-15,000Hz frequency range, or the 1.2W per channel power output.

The announced price for these loudspeakers is around $140 but I guess that everybody waits to see them in the wild or get someone reviewing them before buying. OK, they may be the world's first "completely wireless" wireless speakers but I'll just be a doubting Thomas until more is known.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
