It seems like summer has fully conquered the technology industry. Every manufacturer, even if it is a novice or a leader, rushes to roll out its latest product that in most cases features a pretty design and electric or pastel colors. And when I say that, I'm referring to the new USB or Flash thumb-drives which are now Oriental inspired or 'green electric-looking', to Nintendo's latest 'noble pink' DS Lite model or to the orange craving MP3 Players.

However, the mice are the prime target of the new trendy look which has transformed them into a high-tech accessory by loosing or hiding their base functions. They mustn't just work; they must look in a certain stylish way to be bought?

So, here comes Saitek's 800 dpi notebook mouse designed especially for notebooks. This little mouse comes with a set of nice, but not impressive features such as an elliptical shape that fits any hand size, being made for both left- and right-handers, and an 800dpi Optical Sensor that works on virtually on any surface.

Moreover, the pink-green-orange-yellow trendy mouse sports three additional buttons, a rubberized, non-slip scroll wheel, and a shortened cable length.

And now let's take a look into Apple's yard, where the last features are added to the new Mighty Mouse which, by the way, will come in a classic white.

Therefore, it will be a wireless Bluetooth 2.0 based multi-button mouse that hanged on to its previous single-button look, and can be used as a single- or multi-button mouse depending on your mood.

Several enhanced capabilities are only a button away such as Mac OS X Tiger's Spotlight, Dashboard and Expos?, or the Safari and iChat.

"We cut the cord on our popular Mighty Mouse to give consumers even more flexibility when using a Mac," said David Moody, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Mac Product Marketing, in the press release. "A Bluetooth-enabled Mac desktop with an Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mighty Mouse is the ideal cable-free setup at home or in the office, and the wireless Mighty Mouse is the perfect travel companion for the MacBook user on the go."
