Publisher Deep Silver announced its plans for the upcoming PAX Prime, and they include a brand new, yet unannounced project from Saints Row developer Volition.

The publisher mentioned that the first gameplay footage from Volition's next project would be revealed at the end of its Friday PAX Prime Volition Quiz Show, scheduled to last one hour, on August 29, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time / 5:00 PM GMT, featuring Natalie Lander, who voices Kinzie in Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV.

"At the end of the panel, we'll show you exclusive gameplay, art, and details for an upcoming project from Volition," the publisher shared.

For the time being, there is no available information concerning the mystery game from Volition. Apart from making the Saints Row franchise, the studio is also known for having created the FreeSpace, Summoner and Red Faction series of video games.

After THQ's bankruptcy at the beginning of 2013, Volition and the Saints Row franchise were acquired by Koch Media, Deep Silver's parent company, but the rights to the Red faction and Summoner franchises were acquired by Nordic Games.

Deep Silver's initially announced list of games for PAX Prime included a secret title, which is likely to be the same with this mystery video game from Volition. The game was said to have a floor presence at Deep Silver's booth, so we'll know more about it pretty soon.

The publisher prepared several more exciting video game presentations for this year's edition of PAX Prime, taking place in Seattle, WA, from August 29 through September 1.

Dead Island 2, Yager Development's upcoming triple-A zombie smashing blockbuster adventure, will be available for American gamers to get their hands on for the first time, allowing them to experience the first-person cooperative action set in sunny California.

Furthermore, the Dead Island universe's third-person survival mystery spin-off from developer Fatshark, Escape Dead Island, will also be available for consumers to try out for the first time.

Metro Redux, the two remastered versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, together with all the DLC released for the games since the series' debut in 2010, will be available on next-gen consoles running at a seamless 60 frames per second, for attending gamers to experience.

For the time being, the nature of the mystery project is unknown. While actor Jay Mohr teased a possible return of the franchise, at the end of 2013, nothing has seemed to be moving since.

In any case, whether it's Saints Row 5 or something entirely different, we'll get to see soon enough, and given Volition's history of great video games, we're bound to be in for a treat.
