Sagem Mobiles unveiled last week at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, the SAGEM my750X, a mobile handset for cool urbanites looking for design, technology and multimedia features.

The SAGEM my750x was designed precisely to fit the needs of a cool youth market with fashion design requirements. The fashionistas phone features an original, eye-catching look that plays on the very latest design trends: a sharpcolored side-strip creating subtly-offset asymmetry (available in violet, green, raspberry red, orange or blue). The contemporary, convention-breaking lines are highlighted through a raft of details to create a mobile with a decidedly up-front personality.

The back of the phone boasts an ultra-tactile 'soft-touch' material finish, while the speaker is outlined in shapes that symbolize music waves. At front: a pioneering new keypad, the heart of which is an elegantly-styled joystick offering easy, intuitive navigation. The killer detail: in mp3 mode, the backlit keypad only shows the keys dedicated to music. This might be the real 'WOW effect' of the handset. Furthermore, it boasts pretty small numbers 108 x 48 mm and 95 grams (including battery).

The SAGEM my750X runs a dual-mode HSDPA/EDGE protocol, it boasts ultra-fast downlink and uplink speeds. Designed for free time, it features a 3.2-megapixel camera, a VGA camera with 6x digital zoom for video telephony, a high-resolution (240 x 230 pixel, 256Kcolor) 2.4-inch QVGA screen, plus music player (mp3 and AAC) and video recording/playback.

It also packs all the day-to-day functions users need to stay in contact with their friends, including several messaging systems (SMS, MMS, e-mail, instant messaging). The device also features access to the internet (WAP and WEB 2.0), FM radio with RDS for downtime moments, and Bluetooth technology for connecting up to an extensive range of accessories. Plus it packs a 54 Mb internal memory expandable via a microSD card.

SAGEM my750X is tri-band, so users can travel anywhere and everywhere. The battery life is not necessarily impressive, but offers 2.30 hrs talk-time in 3G mode, 6 hrs of music playback, and 300 hrs on standby.

The SAGEM my750X will be released in Q3 2008 at a price that will be disclosed later on.
