Ascaron announces that a new patch is available for Sacred 2, the sprawling role playing game recently launched. The patch version is 2.31.0 and changes a lot of elements of the title while also offering a host of fixes for bugs. You can download the patch from Softpedia here.

Ten in game bosses have been introduced in order to make players focus more on exploration than on simply running quests. Be warned that these new bosses are tough to beat and you should only take them on once you have a fairly well developed character. Speaking of tough fights, the end level enemies have been improved. They now use more special attacks.

As travel could be a chore, Ascaron has also added eight new portals for fast travel which should make it easier to get to distant places. There's also a better path finding system which allows both players and enemies to get around the game world without any problem.

The way combos work has been tweaked, mainly related to targeting and a lot of glitches regarding some side quests have been fixed. Players should notice less missing text and the fact that the game is better at scaling the detail level in order to keep the game running well. There's also a new in game options menu.

Sacred 2 is a big game, both literally and metaphorically. After you finally manage to install and launch it, you will discover a huge in game world based on a high fantasy setting while also introducing some weird elements, like the guitars of a hard metal band which can be used as weapons and a character class that is basically a cyborg. Be warned that some players have reported that Sacred 2 was very unstable while others have complained that the world was, in a way, too big for its own good.
