Vivendi Games Mobile announces the launch of SWAT Elite Troops for mobile phones, the sequel to the award winning SWAT Force mobile game. The SWAT Elite Troops game is now available on mobile phones throughout Europe and will be available in March 2008 in North America.

SWAT Elite Troops for mobile is based on the successful and award-winning SWAT PC franchise from Sierra Entertainment. The latest mobile game features a new "Instant Tactical Decision" system that forces players to make immediate, split-second decisions. The game also features a new and improved aiming system that raises the intensity and accuracy of gunfight battles.

"The original SWAT mobile game was a tremendous hit and we are thrilled to deliver fans even more advanced game play and functional features with this sequel", said Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile. "The game's awesome artificial intelligence, detailed graphics and interactive environment are sure to stun even hardcore gamers."

With SWAT Elite Troops gamers will be able to choose the equipment and tactics for both the sharp shooter and the explosives expert. They will be able to use each one at the appropriate moment and defuse the traps that lie in their way. Remember that the ultimate goal is to protect life and not necessarily to shoot to kill.

Furthermore, gamers will be able to play any of the two-man squad (sharp shooter & explosives expert) by taking control of either one at any time to complete their missions. Also, the game benefits from a selection of authentic SWAT weapons including flash grenades, pistols, electric stun gun and more. Mission objectives are various: number of hostages freed, number of weapons collected, number of criminals arrested and more.

The original hit, SWAT Force, was named 2006 "Mobile Game of the Year" by Spike TV.
