GPS Tracking with GSM/GPRS

A small GPS tracking device allows you to understand the truth, whatever the situation you might find yourself into. SPT100 is just a small example. The sole purpose of this device is to track moving beings and objects and to transmit their coordinates to a certain observer. In other words, if you're the observer, it will "communicate" you where the heck your dog or your car is!

The unit supports GSM 850 Mhz, 900 Mhz, 1800MHz and 1900MHz, as well as GPRS Class 10 and TCP/UDP. It has 20 all-i-view tracking channels and -169dBm tracking sensitivity.

SPT100 is suitable for lots of applications. You can take it with you on mountain hikes so your ma' could watch your every step. If your dog works part-time in mountain rescue operations, you can hook the device to its collar in order to track its whereabouts. The SPT-100 is just as good in tracking vehicles. And here's the best part. The SPT-100 can send the longitude and latitude coordinates to your cell phone by SMS via GSM or to your PC using an Internet connection through GPRS (it displays data using specific map software). So, there's no need to worry anymore if your Saint Bernard doesn't stay on the right track because he got drunk (again) or if your vehicle gets stolen by your ex-wife. Plus, if you suffer from multiple personalities disorder, you could finally find out where Mr. Hyde parked your car (stupid Hyde!).

The SPT100 comes with a 128 x 64 LCD screen, a speaker, a microphone, built-in 4MB flash memory for data logging, 3Wonde Proud integrated SiRF Star III chips for GPS reception, 3D G sensor for power management and Mini USB port for charging and data transfer. Other features include: built-in rechargeable 1100mA/h Li-ion battery, SIM card slot, emergency and motion alarm. It also comes with three quick-dial keys for emergency calls and one panic button for emergency alarm. The device measures 3.11 " x 2.02 " x 1.02 " and weighs 81 g (including the battery). There's no word about the price (or any cut rates for a GPS tracking service).

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
