Leading provider of mobile applications SPB Software recently announced the launch of a new app for Google's Android operating system, SPB Flash Cards. This software solution has been developed so as to offer language students the possibility to expand their vocabulary quickly and easily. According to the company, the new solution comes with various enhancements, including photos, algorithms and detailed statistics, and should prove a great tool for language students.

Flash Cards can be purchased from the Android Market, where it features the price tag of $4.95. The application should offer a different way of learning by using mental agility exercises and images. All handsets powered by Google Android OS version 1.5 or higher can run the application, which offers a number of more than 1000 cards in 15 languages, including Czech, German, English, French and Chinese.

Some of the main features SPB Flash Cards brings to Android include: - 5 different learning modes - 15 languages to learn - 1000+ words in every language - 65 sections, such as Food, Transport and Clothes - Create your own cards on SPB website

SPB Flash Cards is available in 14 different versions, the company announced. Among them, we can count SPB Czech Cards, SPB Dutch Cards, SPB English Cards, SPB French Cards, SPB German Cards, SPB Italian Cards, SPB Portuguese Cards, SPB Russian Cards, SPB Simplified Chinese Cards, or SPB Spanish Cards. All of them can be downloaded from the Android Market.

“The cards are going a long way in eliminating the reliance on direct word-to-word translation. Rarely does taking a word, translating it into the mother tongue and substituting it with the foreign equivalent, produce the best results,” explained SPB Software CEO, Sebastian Schmidt. “Learning is a very individual process which people tackle in different ways. SPB Flash Cards for Android lets the learner take a step back from the 'one size fits all' approach and explore techniques that work for them.”
