The next generation of graphics API, the DirectX 10, comes to mainstream users in the form of the middle level graphics cards from the computer hardware manufacturer and vendor SPARKLE Computer. A brand new series of graphics cards based on the Nvidia GeForce 8 family of video processing units were announced by the SPARKLE company, and come with passive cooling solutions in order to deliver exceptional image quality and a silent gaming environment.

SPARKLE's series passive cooled GeForce 8 graphic cards are based on the Nvidia 8600GTS, 8600GT, 8500GT and 8400GS graphics processing units, GPUs for short, and they can deliver up to twice the gaming performance of the older generation of Nvidia GPUs, the 7xxx series. The SPARKLE graphics cards are built around a number of Nvidia technologies like the Lumenex Engine, Quantum Effects and the GigaThread Technology that provide extreme processing efficiency in advanced 3D programs.

Besides the fact that the latest SPARKLE graphics cards offer total support for the DirectX 10 specifications and the Shader Model 4.0, those cards are equipped with completely silent cooling solutions based on a heatpipe centered design for the most silent possible gaming environment. "As GeForce 8 graphic cards approached and DirectX 10 games approaching, pc gamers who want higher graphics performance must use whiney GPU coolers, or add water cooling to reduce noise levels. Now helped with SPARKLE series passive cooling GeForce 8 graphic cards, they have a new choice, they can get high gaming performance and zero working noise at same time.", said Kevin Wang, sales director of SPARKLE Computer Co., who was cited in the company's press release concerning the launch of the silent GeForce line of cards. "Getting rid of loud noise and complicated setup procedure for water cooling, now our users can enjoy convenient, plug and play DirectX 10 gaming and HD video playing back experience brought by SPARKLE series passive cooling GeForce 8 graphic cards."

Apart from supporting the Microsoft's DirectX 10 specifications, the latest SPARKLE graphics cards are also compliant with the open graphics library, the OpenGL 2.0, which extends the basic support for games and other 3D applications on several computing platforms. Just like most new generation video cards, these too are compliant with the PCI Express expansion slot which offers an increased speed and data bandwidth rate, effectively doubling the transferring rate of the old AGP8X standard. The cards also support multi graphics setups being compliant with Nvidia SLI technology.
