14 DAY TRIAL // Hong Kong-based optics manufacturer SLR Magic announced today the availability of two new cine lens sets that can be purchased for a limited time at a special discounted price.
The first set includes the recently released 17mm T1.6 cine lens along with the popular 35mm T1.4 II optic especially designed for MFT (Micro Four Thirds) mount digital cameras such as Olympus, Panasonic, and Black Magic.
The 17mm T1.6 offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 34mm and the 35mm T1.4 is 35mm, equivalent with a 70mm lens. This set is now available for purchase at a promotional price of £699 / €838 / $1,142 (£829 / €994 / $1,354 sold separately).
The second cine lens kit that can be purchased from the SLR Magic UK Online Store includes the redesigned SLRM 12mm T1.6 HyperPrime Cine lens along with the SLRM 25mm T0.95 HyperPrime Cine optic.
These two lenses are also exclusively designed for the MFT mount cameras mentioned above. If you're wondering what the 35mm equivalent of each lens is, you should know that the 12mm T1.6 equals a 24mm focal length, while the 25mm T0.95 offers a focal length of 50mm, 35mm equivalence.
This lens kit also comes with a special price tag of £999 / €1,200 / $1,633 or priced separately at £1,129 / €1,355 / $1,845.
In addition to that, SLR Magic also announced a new Achromatic Diopter set that includes +0.33 and +1.3 diopters, both featuring a 77mm diameter thread. For those of you who don't know their purpose, these achromatic diopters are designed for zoom video lenses and are capable of providing greater close-up and magnification capabilities.
The new Achromatic Diopter set will be available for purchase from the SLR Magic Online Store at the end of this month for a price of £249 / €300 / $407.
