SIGMA 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM was quietly introduced by the Nippon camera and optics manufacturer back in October last year and, since then, only Canon users have been able to get their hands on this new optic.

While, until now, the lens designed for Sigma, Nikon, and Sony mounts was only available for pre-order with no actual delivery date being stated, the Japanese optics maker has announced today that the 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM lens for Nikon and Sigma fittings is scheduled to be shipped to the first customers that pre-ordered it at the end of this month.

Recent tests have showed that Sigma 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM EF mount manages to outperform both Canon's 24-105mm f/4L IS USM and 24-70mm f/4L IS USM.

The lens can now be ordered from the official Sigma Store or other online retailers at a price of $899 / €660. There's no word yet about the Sony mount shipping date.
